Chocolate lab, Hannah, is four months now. Last week I spoke about her trouble with loose leash walking (try saying that three times in a row) and other problems. I'm happy to say that at her class last week we learned some techniques that have been very helpful. At least now when we walk I don't feel like I'm on a treadmill set on high speed.
After the training part, the puppies get play time. Hannah thought the Chihuahua's yipping sounded like a squeaky toy and Hannah likes squeaky toys. No, she didn't bite it, but she DID lick it over and over with great enthusiasm. She was put in time out for five minutes. My precious baby. *Blink* Her Sheltie friend tried to go in with her.
Last Saturday we looked all over for a pool that would fit in the little space we have and couldn't find one. Sooo.. we bought her this planting base. She didn't know the difference.
***********
THEN.. on Monday her fun ended. I dropped her off in the morning for her to be spayed. (She also got a microchip implanted.) By mid afternoon she was ready to come home.
I'll just sleep for a while, OK?
Hey! Who shaved my tummy???
I'm happy to say she's doing much better now!!! She can't go swimming for another week, though. She has to wait until her stitches come out.

She is beautiful! Just adorable!
Sorry I haven't been by in a while. Things at home have been less than okay.
What a cutie. My lab had trouble with loose leash walking, too. She'd grab the leash and play tug of war with it! Somehow she passed obedience school, but I suspect it was only because the instructor felt sorry for her. Lucky for us all, we don't have much occasion to use a leash since we live out in the country.
Nothing is happier than a dog with a pool on a hot day!
Great shots!
She is cute when sleep ;)
My entry this week: in HERE. I hope that you can stop by as well. Thanks
That's not right that she got put in time out for being friendly!
I got detention once when I was in puppy class. I was the only one in the whole 10 weeks to ever get detention. Us schnauzers are a little stubborn!
that was cute of him swimming in a little pool.",)
There is NO way that my beautiful, sweet, innocent, loving God-Puppy EVER deserved time out! NO WAY! I autta come out there and tell that instructor a little something!
On another note, Hannah is really getting long. See, that's why she had to gain weight real fast, she was preparing for when she started stretching out. Don't believe me? Look at that last photo! She's loooooooong... beautiful and looooooong.
Oh, and Tag, Molly, and Maggie have one of those kiddie-pools like you get at Toys R Us. 'Cept Maggie hates water, so all she does is use it as a HUGE water bowl. hehe
What? am I rambling?
She's a cutie. Time out is good sometimes! :)
That's keep her cool in the summer.
