I was watching a video I found that resembled an infomercial yesterday. This guy claimed to have the secret to weight loss. I don't know if he does or not because I wasn't going to pay to get his secret but he did say something that stopped me in my tracks. He said..
Huh? Wha...? OK.. it hit me where I live, breathe and think. I'm used to thinking things are my fault. I can just accept that and move on. But my responsibility?
That's a whole new ballgame.

oh you said it. mine is salt and crunch. gets me into lots of trouble.
Being responsible is a different way of looking at things, hm.
I like salty things more than sweet, too.
I like the idea of responsibility instead of fault - and that could apply to everything in our lives. Hmmm....
I'm a salty snacker too. And I LOVE Garfield.
I do like sweets, but I tend to want things like chips and dip, fried cheese, stuff that I know is not good for me!
I'm the sweet tooth.
I love to eat, period. And I wake up thinking about what I'm going to stuff into me. That's bad I know. But I think then...I love food. That's probably a 'no no', I'm sure.
My son keeps telling me Eat to live...not live to eat!! Ya, right.
Good luck to you Barb!!!
Mine's Here A sweet kitty...but sour puss!
ouch first time I heard that sandy
I love both sweet and salty food, but I am not allowed to have either anymore...I have tinitus, and it makes it worse...Probably better for my weight anyways!
I just hate it that some people are just naturally skinny. Not fare! Happy HOT.
Everything I've ever read says that we put on weight under stress and when we're sleep deprived. Eating just before falling asleep is bad for everyone... except sumo wrestlers who do that on purpose.
Anyway, stress leads to weight gain and people stress when they diet.
Am I the only one who sees a problem here?
I like salty stuff too, and I'm a dip/condiment/dressing addict... I put Ranch dressing on pretty much everything. Yes, I have issues.
That Garfield strip is really funny, could have been me saying that. Thanks for stopping by.
I love salty foods, and things that are tart/sour, and chocolate is my obsession. I don't know if my weight being my responsibility instead of my fault changes how I feel about it, I'll have to ponder that one. ~ Calico Contemplations
I like that quote. Thanks!
Oh, you had the cat first, so of course you wouldn't change his name. My girls name their stuffed animals (still)... and it's a bit weird when they then become friends with someone with the same name. :)
I have a sweet, salty, crunchy and sour tooth :) I love cheese cake, salt and vinegar chips, chocolate, cheetos... the list goes on and on!
Hi Barb, you can take anything you want or need. lol I think my other messages may have gone to your spam.
Nah.. I got it and thx =)
Take 5 Bar by Hershey's; Pretzels, Caramel, Peanuts, Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate-- my ALL TIME favorite. Sweet and salty. LOVE them! And as for "diet" isn't that a four letter word?
Pretty weighty issue - sorry, very bad pun. I have been most successful at controlling my weight when I stay off the scales and away from diets. Daily walks have always been the easiest way for me to avoid weight gain. My physical activity is pretty limited now and regretfully that has resulted in a steady weight gain. )-: I'd consider my life very sweet if I could go for a walk again without a cane in each hand.
If I have to make a choice I prefer spicy to sweet but once in a while sweet would be nice.
