Going For Test

I may have thought I was over the pain and pancreas trouble from last week, but I was wrong. The last couple days it has made a return in a huge way. So much so that this morning I called my doctor's office and said he needed to see me ASAP or I was taking myself to the ER. Luckily they were able to work me in right away.

The pancreas being inflamed is bad enough but he wants to know what's doing it. The most common causes are large amounts of alcohol consumption and gallstones. I'm not a drinker and I had my gallbladder out about twenty years ago.

He also told me when I had the x-ray and ultrasound done last week at the ER an anomaly was seen on my liver.

I have an appointment tomorrow (Thursday) to have a CAT scan done. Hopefully something can be figured out. Until then I'm back on Vicodin.

I doubt the cause will be due to any kind of muscle growth since I don't have much daily exercise. Besides.. I just said that so I could work the link into this post.

Darling have they checked your triglyceride levels? Allen's pancreatitis was 100% caused by his levels being too high. Something to mention if they have not checked that.
I have a CT for my abdomen coming up soon too, need surgery.
Praying for you sweet one!

Yup, it's the same thing that Poor Hubby's got goin' on. The only thing is that they can't find what's causing it. We have to wait 'til October for him to go get more tests. In the meantime, he's on antacids. I hope your results are more definitive & you feel better very soon!

I'm really sorry Skittles. I hope everything works out. Maybe you're like my dad...gets sick and they never can figure out what the heck is going on until it goes away on it's own.

Being in pain, not knowing exactly what is causing it too -just some triggers -can be so darned frustrating to cope with. Here's hoping they figure out exactly what is causing this and get you back on the recovery road in short order. Will keep you in thought and prayer that all goes well. But you knew that already, didn't you? Hope so, anyway.

I hope this doesn't cause you undue concern and pain on your trip. Take care.
