Heads Or Tails #39 - Peace Or Piece

You can play this at Heads Or Tails!

*************************************
This week I thought I'd show you the bits and pieces that make up my garden. Living on the ground floor of the apartment complex, we don't have a lot of room to work with. We do the best we can though! (You can click any picture to enlarge it.)

This watering can and the little lawn ornament were bought last year.

So were these 3 plastic butterflies.

If you look in the dark area of the first picture below you can see the thermometer that we got last year. It's next to the hummingbird feeder we got this year. In the second picture is a new hanging flower basket and on the right you can kind of see a cow on a tire swing (that we bought last year in Maine) and the wind chimes my oldest son gave me 6+ years ago.

In the first picture are some Day Lilies. Last year my daughter gave me flowers for my birthday, so I planted the bulbs last Fall. It was nice to see them coming back up! In the second picture you can see all the planters with newly planted flowers, along with an outdoor storage box we bought this year.

Here is the finished product! (Note to self: Get your fat ass out of the reflection! *Laugh*) Notice the dead grass? That's where our dog relieves herself all winter when we're too lazy it's too cold to walk her. We've put down grass seed which is starting to grow.

The rules of our apartment complex state that everything outside has to be on the patio. As you can see we're stretching that a little. I jokingly told the neighbor that by next year we'd be all the way down to her door.

The rules also state no one can have a grill. Well.. If you look real hard behind the chair on the left, you might see a Coleman gas grill in it's case. I won't tell if you won't.

what a lovely garden. Even though it's not huge, it's still lovely. It all depends on what you put in it.

What IS IT with all these silly rules? who wouldn''t have a grill?? Anyhow . . . your garden is just my style. I could handle that. maybe. At least I wouldn't be killing TOO many plants!!

Well, your pieces does make your garden look peaceful :-)

Oh, hummingbird feeder, that makes me very, very jealous, because we don't have hummingbirds at all over here in Sweden. I've only seen them when we were in Paraguay in 2005.

...and of course, blogblast for peace - every blogger should participate, that would really be something!!!

What a nice little garden you have. That is pretty funny about it travelling down to the neighbors in the future.
I don't see the gas grills. LOL

Hope you can stop by mine and take in a "piece of art".

OOps. I'm sorry I put my name on the wrong meme. Now that I am in the right place, I just want to say, what kind of place doesn't allow a grill? Silly people.

How fun to see the 'pieces' of your yard like this. Very cleverly done. I picked the other meaning and posted at Small Reflections ... early again because of my Photoshop class tomorrow morning. I'm clearly tired because I had trouble getting the correct link in tor right place ... but all's well that ends well.
Hugs and blessings,

A nice piece about pieces. But the song... I mean it fits, but it's another bad 70s song I'd pretty well suppressed....

You have created a lovely cozy environment on your patio!!! I noticed I could see you in the last picture but certainly no grill!

Great post and now that remind me I need to look a little harder for my hummingbird feeder.

You've done a great job making a tiny space lovely. Thanks for the link to the Blog Blast for Peace. What a great idea. Hope you get to enjoy your invisible grill. Hope you get lots of hummingbirds. I was sitting at the back door yesterday and a little hummingbird hovered right in front of me... Gone before I could get my camera focussed. But still, what a thrill.

Just hand me the control to Mike's RC car, so I can play and I guarantee I will not to see any grill anywhere ;-)
