My dad passed away in 1966. I was ten years old. I was so very young. I'm sure he knew I worshiped the ground he walked on.
Hubby didn't have quite as good a relationship with his dad who passed away when hubby was a lot older than I was when I lost my dad. I know he has many regrets.
I post this video for anyone who has some bridges to mend with their own dad.. and is still lucky enough to have time.

This song always nearly makes me cry. I didn't lose my dad, but I lost my mom due to cancer. She passed away in 98.
There are so many things I'd like to tell her. But i can't anymore....
"I wish I could have told her in the living years..."
Oh god, tears coming to my eyes.
Thanks for this wonderful post Barb.
Luv ya.

Thanks Skittles!
I was age 1 in 1966. Dad was with me until 2004. It's still so hard.
I still have my dad around, but as you know I lost my mom. Loved this video! Happy Father's Day!
