Coming Up

Hubby is going to have off from work the last week of this month and the first week of next month. We didn't travel during his two weeks off in July, but we are already making plans to go somewhere this time.

We just aren't sure yet WHERE.

He's never been to the Keys in Florida, plus my mom lives in Florida, so we might go that way. Take a drive through the Everglades as well. We both love the drive out west though. (Nothing can equal the beauty of the Rocky Mountains!) If we headed that way we would most likely go right on over to the coast so he could see the Pacific Ocean.

Hurricane season may end up being the deciding factor.

Both of us love the driving part of any vacation. We never set out for amusement park type places as we prefer the scenery right outside the windows of the car.

We've stayed within the USA except for a few brief drives into Canada over the years. There's still so much that we want to see here that we wouldn't think of looking into Caribbean villa rentals. Not yet, anyway!

Traveling is so much fun but I wouldn't suggest the Keys. Hurricane season is in full force!

Ugh! I'm not the fan of road trips that Poor Hubby is. I'd much prefer to fly, but he doesn't trust planes. Our compromise: a train trip to Oregon...someday. If you come this way again, maybe I'll be able to see you this time!

I LOVED the drive to cali and back. I went a few years ago... I took the northern route across and the southern route back.
