Heads Or Tails #57 - Changing Where I Live

You can play this at Heads Or Tails!

*************************************

I've felt a little out of sorts today with a touch of stomach flu so I almost didn't play. Once I set the link on the sign-in page I decided to go ahead with a post of my own.

How Would I Change Where I Live Now?

We're apartment dwellers so there's not much in our control, but there are things I would like to see changed anyway..
  1. Cheaper rent.
  2. No extra charge for having a dog.
  3. The one wall A/C unit switched to central A/C.
How Would I Change Where I Live Someday?

Someday we would like to have a home of our own. Here are some things we want in that home..
  1. A BIG kitchen. I'm so tired of dinky apartment kitchens! I want one big enough to put a dinette set in. I want to be able to do canning and baking again.
  2. A BIG fenced yard with shade trees. This is a must for our dog and grandkids. I want to have a nice vegetable garden again, too.
  3. A garage. This is mostly for hubby. He's so good at working on cars and doing guy things. We have a storage unit that is overflowing with his tools.
  4. A finished basement. Hubby has a huge collection of model train stuff and I would love for him to have somewhere to set up a layout!
How Would I Change Where I Live Politically?

Your someday house sounds great. I believe all kitchens should be big and usable.

Ummmm - don't forget the guest room in that 'someday' house ;-) OK - just a deck for us to sit on and shoot the breeze and giggle will be enough... I guess.

I'm so with you on all of your changes! ;-) I'm not much of a baker, but I'm trying because I so love the smell of fresh bread. I used to help my grandparents can fish in Alaska. I don't want to do that again, but if I had a garden I would love to do some of my own canning of the veggie type stuff. Kurt and I talked about how cool it would be to work on model trains together, but that just ain't happening in this tiny house! *sigh* I can't wait to move. - We're putting our house up for sale this coming spring. Wish us luck!

It seems you're pretty happy where you are 'til the 'someday' home comes along.

Cheaper rent would be nice and a new neighbor :)
Great HoT theme and I had a sanctimonious post to respond, pop in the Cafe for it.

Ah, Dean Martin. Didn't recognize the footage from the first film, but the second was from "The Bells are Ringing." Very cute film.

I would love a bigger kitchen too! Sometimes when I have all 6 kids here we have to eat in shifts because the table won't fit all of us.

If I could vote with you I would.

Can't believe you have to pay extra for having a dog.

I was so happy when we got our house. Our kitchen is big...but counter space isn't. Come holiday cooking time, I'll need to bring in the camping/card table.
I wish you home big-ness in the near future!

All sound wonderful.
You have A/C if I lived in Michigan I would demand it.
I was there once in August it was hot and humid.
We don't have A/C when it hot I hide in our basement.

Thanks for stopping by earlier.
The coffee is always on.

When I was little, my mom had every Dean Martin album that existed ... and my father had every Frank Sinatra album - we were a divided Italian family. Thank you so much for sharing the video clip - that brought back great memories ... now I'm off to go download Dino and Frankie songs on my ipod!
