Just A Quickie

Just a quickie..
How often do you defrag? (That sounds naughty, doesn't it?)

Once a month. I do run CCleaner and scan for viruses ever day though.

I defrag twice a month but run clean sweep and scan for viruses 2-3 times a week.

Hahaha - it doesn't usually sound dirty, but somehow you make it seem that way :-0

I used to do it all the time on my old computer, but my "new" (I've had it for several years already) doesn't need it but a few times a year, about 3 I'd say.

This is assuming I actually turn on my 'Puter... You should know better! ;P

Glad you asked that question! It reminded me I haven't done the defrag thing in quite a while and haven't even done the weekly cleaning of the files I should be doing either. Along with running the two spy-ware programs I should deal with once a week but haven't been very regular with them either, come to think of it.
Luckily, when I got this computer (almost 2 years ago) it is set up that it searches and updates stuff regularly and my anti-virus thingy runs faithfully on its own, every morning around 8:30 a.m. as it updates itself, does a scan then too!
Peace. Hope you're feeling a bit better now too, Barb.

Almost never. But now that you've mentioned it I should try to make a habit of it.

I use Avast for my virus protection and it has served me well for three or four years now. I only defrag once every couple of months, but it depends on how many graphic files I've worked with in that time. I usually run defrag two times on the days I dedicate to computer clean up.
