Camera Critters - Sleep Is Good

Drop down two posts to read the interview I did
with Misty, the creator of Camera Critters!

You can play this at Camera Critters!

Hannah, now seven weeks old, howled like a banshee cried three nights straight after we got her last week. On the fourth night she slept, which meant we (me and hubby) slept, too. Sleep is good. Sleep is my friend.

I think everyone has had a pet in their lives by which all other pets are judged. The pet for my family was Suzi, a collie mix, we had many years ago. She set a very high standard.

I believe Hannah will be the new standard. She is oh so lovable, playful, smart. Everything anyone could want in a dog. Already she comes when called, sits on command and walks proudly at my side when I take her for walks. She plays with joyful abandon. She covers us (and anyone she meets on our walks) with puppy kisses.

But, I'm not proud or anything. (Smile.)

At night she sleeps in a crate. She was sleeping on the
floor by my feet when I took this picture.

Eventually she will be too big for the crate we bought and a baby gate across the kitchen doorway will be used instead.

Maybe.

I put her in the kitchen yesterday with the baby gate up while I was cleaning house. She whimpered a little while I cleaned the bedroom and the computer room. When I walked out of the computer room, guess what I saw?

Miss Hannah (Banana) Rose was almost over the gate. Her belly was balanced on top. Her front feet were on the hall side. Her back feet still on the kitchen side.

*Insert theme from Jaws* We're going to need a bigger gate.

Oh, that's so sweet. No photo of her hanging over the gate? Judging her paws, you need a biiiiiiig gate!

'Scuse me, but you have a Mister Linky sign in on this post, and I think it's rather confusing for people, like you're trying to steal my meme or something... so, I just might have to kick you out of the meme. We just can't have this kind of....... bwaaaaaaaaahahahahaha Not very convincing am I? I guess it would be hard to be convincing since I already signed in on your linky, eh? Just wanted to make you laugh.

My mom's bichon howled the first night or so when we first got him, he was suppose to be crated at night. Guess where he sleeps now? Yep, my parents bed. :)

And we had a baby gate for our Shepard...but she started jumping over it so now we give her "almost" complete free rein in my parents house.

Again: Aaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwww!!!!! You made me think about a problem. We were planning on getting a pet gate for the "pet room" (eventually), but Annie's quite a jumper. Hmm...
