Bean Soup

The last couple days me and hubby have been at odds with each other. He's pretty much been his silent and withdrawn self while I've been a bit more.. vocal and emotional. Even though we'd tried being mature and talking out our problems an impasse had been reached.

Last night we went to bed and he fell asleep fairly quickly. I was trying to get used to our new laptop in bed, so I was still awake.

We'd had bean soup for dinner earlier. And soon after hubby had fallen to sleep it started to have the normal affect one would expect. He lets loose with a loud, reverberating fart.

The fan in our bedroom is on his side of the bed which means anything from his side of the bed is blown over to my side of the bed. And it was. And OMG it was maybe one of the smelliest farts in the world. (I know of one worse.)

I start waving my hand in front of my face, saying "Ohhh, Michael!!!" and I'm laughing. He wakes up and asks what's wrong. I tell him and then he starts laughing, too.

I may be being a bit dramatic here, but I think maybe my marriage was just saved.. by a fart.

Definitely that is progress. Espeically since he didn't pull the covers up over your head and force you to inhale that directly into your lungs!

I don't know about you two but as we've got older our conversations seem to revolve around farting! What's that all about?

hahahahah Loved it! But wasn't that in the vows we swore to? In sickness and in fartiness? Oh wait. Was that wealth? Oh shoot. It was health, huh? Damn!

My husband tries his best not to ever fart in front of me, which makes it difficult for me since I have to try not to fart in front of him. It's so stupid. Just fart! It might save our marriage someday.
