Funny Andy

Last Thursday I drove across the state to visit with my kids and grandkids. Although I wanted to see ALL of them (that goes without saying) it was my oldest grandchild that prompted the visit. I don't see him very often at all and after seeing a recent picture of him, and seeing how much he's grown since the last time I did.. well.. I knew a visit was long overdue.

The first place I stopped though was at my younger son's house. He and his wife are the parents of grandchildren Andy (age five) and Emily (age three).

Andy started playing with a toy. It wasn't too long before Emily wanted a turn and I convinced Andy to let his sister play for a while. Andy stood by watching and then asked for his turn again. I told Emily her turn was almost up, after calculating her turn had lasted about the same amount of time her brother's had.

I told them both that I was going to count to twenty-five and when I got to twenty-five it would be Andy's turn.

Andy looked at me and said, "Can you start at twenty?"

TOO funny and Andy is POSITIVELY one smart and clever five year old!

You really do have to love the stuff little kids can come up with, don't 'cha? And I thought his reasoning to start the counting at 20 was pretty damned good!

In answer to your question yesterday... no, probably not. (Most lawyers aren't that quick on their feet.)
