Yesterday hubby came home from work with news. His plant will be shut down next week because a.. um.. thingamajig broke and it needs to be fixed. This opens up a possibility for us.
We love to travel. Love it. Last year we only went on one trip. That was in April and we went to Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. So nowwww.. we're thinking maybe.. ? Should we.. ? If so.. where.. ?
We still want to try to make a trip to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and all the way to the Pacific Ocean. I've been to all those places, but I was only 11 or 12. Hubby has never been. I think we'd need longer than a week to hit all three of those. Never say never though, because one year we went 5,000 miles in seven days.
Since yesterday we've been discussing things. Tossing about ideas.
Key West has come up. That's another place I've been that he hasn't, and we could stop and see my mom on the way. A Civil War battlefield area like maybe Shilo has come up. Trying to just get to Hoover Dam and saving the other two for later has come up. And of course there's always trying to find a moose for hubby. (Long story.)
Factors like cool/cold weather play into this. So does traveling with a 10 week old puppy.
I don't know what our final decision will be yet. But it's fun to think about. And while we're thinking about, I can't help but wonder who of you readers live near any of those places?
We almost met Misty and Autumn last year. If I'm correct, we have an open invitation to visit Jeni anytime we come to Pennsylvania. I think it's cool to meet "online" people in "real life."
