My answer to that Quickie was I always wanted an Easy Bake Oven. I thought it would have been SO cool to watch my cupcakes cooking under the heat generated by a 40 watt light bulb.
I never got it (obviously) and had to content myself with making mud pies at my grandma's house. Not ordinary mud pies either. See my grandpa was a carpenter and he had a workshop in the garage.
There was always sawdust on the floor. Sawdust mixed with a little water makes excellent frosting. A cement block stood on end made a fantastic oven. Maybe I didn't need an Easy Bake Oven after all.
What about what some of you always wanted? I have just enough fairy dust to grant your wishes. (Everyone knows I don't have real dust.. *cough* OCD!)
Princess Sonshu said... Aah! Well as a child i always wanted barbies and i got em too so nothing as such!
Here's a Pooper Scooper Barbie in case you didn't have one already.
Jeni said... A brother or a sister! That was the one thing I wanted more than anything else but never received. It's not easy to get a real child. Ask Madonna! Here's the next best thing.
Misty Dawn said... Answer - An RC Helicopter!!!
She wants this because my hubby has one. (Giggle)
Akelamalu said... A Doll's house!
This is a nice one for you.
Margaret Waterman said... I wanted to stay up and watch the series finale of MASH and my mom said no. It was a tearjerker. This is how it ended.
masgblog said... the boys always had this gas station that had a ramp for the cars to roll down....that was cool....oh, and I wanted a fort too.
This play fort is way cooler than a ramp for cars.

Although I should get bonus points for creativity, the mud and sawdust weren't all that tasty. So for me...
I hope I have a 40 watt light bulb.

Aah Skittles i sure dont have a Pooper Scooper Barbie! Its amusing and thanks by the way!
I think I missed that post... 'cause I would have come up with something. Perhaps you should do another post... asking us to come up with a list of things we'd like if we could have them...
My daughters have the easy-bake oven, want me to mail it to you? They never really used it much, and it's just sitting there... all lonely and such.
I used to melt crayons in my Easy-Bake (long after all my cake/cookie mixes were used up) and pour into dixie cup molds ....then I'd have one fat multi-colored crayon! Ahhhh ...memories!
Princess: I got my granddaughter that Barbie not knowing it was the Pooper Scooper one. She liked it.
Grace: Sure! Send it over. I sound like Bob Barker.. Come on DOWN.
Coffee: You really have a thing for crayons don't you? I do too by the way. It's the smell when you open a new box of 64!
Oh thankyou so much Barb! What a lovely thing to do, making our wishes come true - You're a real pal xxxx
Wow! I've never had someone try to help me make my dream come true before - you're a true friend. Can we work on the being a nature photographer thing next? Cuz that's my TRUE dream... oh, OK, I'll stop being so demanding.
Just send Gina with my 'copter, and tell her NO sidetrips!
Akelamalu: That was such a nice doll house I almost kept it. :)
Misty: Um.. the 'Copter is missing. So is Gina...
LOL.
too funny. Thank you
Maggie: You got to see the Globetrotters so I went with MASH. :)
