Sidebar

A sidebar is a long way from a bar BAR. I suppose I could sit here and find a way to make them not be so different from each other, but I'm still feeling icky, so I won't.

I'm here to talk about my sidebar. The left one to be exact. I've taken out the section that used to show what book I'm reading. Mostly because I don't read as much as I used to since I got a laptop. Also because I found something much more important to put in its place.

I'm going to start recording my daily glucose readings three times a day. This is mostly so I can keep myself focused and accountable to myself. If anyone else wants to keep an eye on it that would be okay, too.

I've made a good start. A lot better than the 301 reading I had not too long ago. I'm going to keep trying. Keep working on getting those numbers down. Hopefully a lot longer than I have in the past.

Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to throw in some diet supplements just in case I forget to eat right. Wait. I don't think that will happen. Eating right rules out junk food and focuses on fruits and veggies. My "snack" last night was apple wedges, some chunks of cantelope and a smallish slice of cheddar cheese. A far cry from the two pieces of pumpkin pie with Cool Whip I just had a couple nights ago.

Okay, okay. I also split a can of Vienna sausages with hubby. I must keep it real and honest.

Thank you for the encouraging comments ya'll have given me!

My apologizes for not being around much lately. I've become addicted to Farm Town on Facebook and that's all she wrote. Whew!

I'm glad to see you back to monitoring yourself again. That's so impt. I was diagnosed as being diabetic last year. I was put on Metformin. I was in denial the whole time. To make a long story short, I got healthy by eating right and no longer take any meds. In fact, I had to change docs and did not tell this new doc I was termed, diabetic. After bloodwork, he said I passed with flying colors! Wheeee! Talk about excited! So if I can do it, so can you!! :) Eat healthy and go walking. I even FEEL better!!
