That's What Friends Are For

Linda at Simply Snickers gave me this friendship award and I thank her for thinking of me!

-----

Here is the preface of the Friendship Award:

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement.

Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers.

Deliver this award to eight bloggers, who must choose eight more, and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award.

-----

I hate, hate, hate choosing. It means someone gets left out and I don't want anyone to get that "last one picked at volleyball" feeling. Or was that only me?

I DO have a couple I would like to mention by name as these friendships have extended way beyond the boundaries of blogging or just being "online friends"...

Jeni from Down River Drivel.
Maureen from It's About Time.
Misty from Misty's Musings.
Autumn from Random Autumness.

I'm sorry I didn't do eight. I hope I don't have to give the award back. To make things right with everyone, I'm awarding everyone who visits here this Badminton/Volleyball thingy. (Psst.. it's really just a picture but play along.) You can't be picked last if it's your game. (Smile.)

A little over 2 1/2 years ago, when I first started blogging, you happened by my place onc day and left a comment on my blog. One of the first to do that and from it came a friendship born from the blog but developed over time because we share a lot of things, understand many of the same issues all too well, from the very personal standpoint. And I think you may possibly be the only fellow blogger I have ever talked to on the phone -with the exception of one other blogger on my favs list that I used to work with. (Almost forgot about him! LOL) You put up with me and my long, long, drawn-out comments (and posts too) and have the ability to make me smile most days and even burst into a huge laugh on others but I know too, if I'm down, I can drop you a note and get my own private picker-upper coming my way from you. Yeah -for sure -now that's what friends are for, Kiddo!
Peace!
