I woke up early this morning and being reluctant to get out of my nice warm bed, I turned on the tv. At 6am there isn't much on to watch except infomercials. Let me tell you.. there are some weird products on those shows.
Yet when watching infomercials I seem to find myself wanting those weird products even if they are four easy payments of $29.99. And if you order NOW you'll get TWO. I don't understand why you need two of something like a hair styler. Is it in case the first one breaks? And what about that bonus item you're always offered. One is a thing that holds tomatoes (or eggs) for even slices. Woohoo! I need me one of those! *cough*
One infomercial I watched this morning was for a rechargeable vacuum/sweeper. This thing can VACUUM carpets and floors. Imagine that. It also has a shaft (ooo.. shaft) that bends in the middle (ouch) for going down (snicker) and under furniture. Hmm. I think I see a marketing ploy here.
Isn't innuendo fun?
Of course there are more serious things on tv in regular commercials like the ads for Mesothelioma cancer. I can't help but think of the John Grisham book "Tort" when I see them. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

You've missed your calling - you and Lucy should become a team and write infomercials ;-)
I love watching infomercials. As long as I can bear watching them. Which isn't very long usually. It's just amaaaaazing ;-)
