April showers bring May flowers. This is June but it's raining here. Kind of.Mr. Skittles has been having frequent layoffs at work. It used to be we'd take off on a road trip but not this year. (Although we could maybe go stay near my kids in an rv camping trailer if we had one.)
We've been having to hit our savings account a lot more than we'd like to. This has bothered us to some degree. Then I had one of those light bulb thoughts.
A savings account is for, amongst other things, saving for a rainy day. It's not raining here, but there IS a light drizzle.
Many people have it a lot worse than us. I won't complain.

Ummmmm it has been raining here for MONTHS... but I don't have a savings account :-(
I loved that movie and that song. We have a savings account for a rainy day but I am always afraid to use any in case the rain doesn't stop!
Seriously though we take just a little out each year as we could live another 30 years I am 62 and hubby is 71 and fit as a fiddle. I don't want to not be able to afford to get him hearing aids or teeth and who knows what I might need. The savings account is not that big either.

Yes good luck with your hubby's job. My brother-in-law just lost his. He was with a car dealership. Worrying times, don't take anything for granted these days as you just never know.
