The Five Step Rule

The mobile home park lady said if we came over she'd unlock the door for us. We wanted to look around at things again before getting the keys tomorrow.

My OCD-iness (woohoo, I made up a word) made me want to know where we were going to put the 12 packs of pop, where we'd feed the dog, where the dry erase board would go, etc.

There was another thing I wanted to check out. The Five Step Rule. In any (organized) kitchen you're supposed to be able to make a peanut butter & jelly sandwich by taking five steps or less. That's getting the knife, the bread, the peanut butter and the jelly. I walked it off in the new kitchen and it is exactly five steps.

------------

As we were looking around I realized by that time tomorrow we would have the keys and it would truly be ours. I got tears in my eyes just thinking about it. I know when we ARE handed the keys I will most likely get choked up again.
