Monday

It was a very long week for me. I'm not 100% better yet but am feeling a lot better than I have been. My hands still move shaky and typing is hard but I decided to put out a new post anyway.

A week ago (Monday) was my 53rd birthday. One of my sons drove over with his family the day before and we spent a few hours together. I got calls from my mom and MIL, a blogger friend and lots of Facebook wishes. Monday was also the day that I really started feeling AWFUL, too. My daughter drove over to help me out and Mr. Skittles came home early, then stayed home with me the rest of the week.

I had to miss my grandson's 6th birthday party yesterday. I feel awful about that. As soon as I can get out to a store, we'll put something in the mail for him.

Mr. Skittles has gone back to work so now it's just me and my daughter. She's not in the best of health right now either as she's getting over pneumonia. Quite a pair we make.

I've decided against trying to call my psychiatrist again. I doubt he would call me back. I need to find a new one closer to where I live now. I'll try to get on that later this week.

The Climb - Myley Cyrus

"The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down but
No I'm not breaking."

Once again.. thank you to all who have wished me well.. either here, in emails.. or just in thoughts.

I wish you hadn't started feeling so awful on your birthday. I'm glad you are starting to feel a little better. Getting a new psych sounds like a fabulous idea after this drama. Sending positive birthday wishes your way.

Barb, sorry to read of your latest struggles. I hope you'll rally so that you won't have stop HoT.

*Ahem*

And, yes, get a new doctor. One that responds when you call.

Thanks for the phone call tonight! Really enjoyed the conversation and if, as you say, talking with people makes you feel a tad better, feel free to call anytime. I can relate to those feelings all too well, knowing I generally feel better when and after talking to someone yet I hesitate to pick up the phone and initiate the call. Boy, we do make quite the pair then don't we, both of us with our little quirks here and there!

Good Morning Barb, I came to your blog via second effort. I love that you used that Miley Cyrus song to enhance how your feeling. I am sitting on the porch swing next to you (minus the med malfunction!) I hope you find the courage to feel better and you are really lucky to have Mr.Skittles there watching your back.
