Facing The Truth

It's time for me to face the truth. I'm obese. A cow. My weight and eating habits are way out of control. I crush tip the scales at 284 pounds. I've been having trouble doing the most basic things in life because of this.

It's difficult for me to get out of bed. Last night I really REALLY realized how hard it is for me to get off the couch. I almost had to get a hand from Mr. Skittles to do so. Most of my clothes don't fit anymore. Taking a shower is an ordeal.. and not taking one becomes the easier alternative. Friday when I went to get my eyes checked I almost couldn't step up into my car. (Ford Escape.)

My name is Barb and I need to change this NOW before I can't move at all. All these "almosts" are too many. "Almost" is very close to "can't".

I was blog hopping yesterday and found a post at Tammy's (Mom Knows Everything) about her using Sensa. Her before and after pictures are amazing. Simply amazing. I'm always skeptical about products but seeing someone I know have such great success gives me hope. I have ordered some. (No... this isn't a sponsored post. Yet.)

I know how to eat right. I know about healthy vs. junk. I know about portion control. I just can't seem to do it. I'm out of control and if this helps me.. even if it just helps me jump start.. then it will be worth it.

I called my dear friend from It's About Time last night. I was crying. We usually talk about everything except maybe natural hair loss treatments. Last night we talked about my weight and my realizations. She gave me lots of pointers. She promised to support me.. like she's always done.

I know a lot of people will question Sensa and the validity of its claims. Maybe even its cost. But it's what I'm going to try. Wish me success.

Good luck Barb! I know you can do it! The thing about Sensa is that you can still eat chips or cookies, you just don't eat as much of them because the Sensa stuff you sprinkle on top fills you up a lot quicker so you don't eat as much. Heck I even take it with me and sprinkle it on my Big Mac when I take the kids to McDonalds!

I know it has helped Tammy, and I hope it helps you, because I hate that you have struggles. I wish I could help, but all I can do is be your friend and support you and encourage you like you do for me. (((Hugs)))

Well you know I'll support you too. I have heard of Sensa but haven't looked into it. As you know I've mentioned that I had a large weight loss in the past couple of years... and looking back I don't think I ever could have had the success I did if I didn't try something different than the "just eat right and no junk" method. It's the healhiest way to do it, but it takes so dang long that most of us get tired and give up.

So best to you... reach out to those you need to when you feel you just can't do it or are about ready to toss in the towel. I firmly believe me losing close to 75 lbs was MOSTLY do to support.

Good luck Barb, I've seen first hand how hard weight loss can be, I haven't heard about Sensa before-but it sounds like a good start.

I've never heard of Sensa either, however I just tried the "full bars" and water. They do get rid of the hungry feeling, however, I still want something in my mouth. Struggling with that one. Good luck and keep us all posted!
