Me and Mr. Skittles came to an agreement before Valentine's Day that we would not exchange cards or gifts this year. There were a couple reasons for this..
I can't get out to get him a card or Rocky Patel cigars or whatever. The other one is sappy sweet because we show each other almost every day of the year how much we love each other. Sometimes it's big things sometimes it's smaller things.
Quit making up your own jokes. I'm trying to be serious here.
Yesterday he stopped by the store to pick up a couple things he'd forgotten the day before when grocery shopping. Do you know what he did? Of course you don't and that's why I'm going to tell you.
I have two plants in the living room that we got a few years ago when we bought new furniture. They have grown like crazy. I have to drape them up and over the bookshelves to keep them off the floor and away from pets. (Hannah.) Lately though they've been looking sickly and I realized after a few years they were probably getting a tad root bound.
Mr. Skittles knows how much I love those two plants so when he stopped by the store he picked me up two new pots for them. Pretty ones, too! Ones that match our color scheme!
Sweetness like that can't be found in a card.

You are so right. I just love that kind of thoughtfulness.
He's a good egg!!! I think you should keep him.
Also, I think you should quit blaming Hannah on the plant thing... I'm sure it was the cat!
Very good boy.
I don't really get the point of cards anyway. Seems like a waste of paper.
that is so so sweet! Mr. Skittles sounds like mr. Petals..
You know what you could have given him??
well since you've revived the 'quickie'... I can't believe u didn't think of it on your own.. haha
he's a good lad (spoken in thick Scottish brogue lol)
now that dear is called love - cards, who needs cards, we all need men who see things like that and do.
Sweetness for sure. I truly miss valentine's day with my husband, he was always doing little things like your Mr. Skittles.
Oh how nice and thoughtful. Much better than a card. My husband and I go to the store. Pick out cards. Show them to each other and put them back. I heard from my son and his new wife that they are carrying on this ritual. LOL
