In My Own Home

A million things are running through my head with my friend arriving tomorrow for a visit. One of which is what will I cook??? I've decided I will make a pot roast, rice & gravy, green bean casserole and cornbread. Sound yummy? I thought so.

Most of my thinking is done while I'm on my exercise bike. I wonder what we will talk about when we already talk about everything every day on the phone? Will we talk about what are blackheads? I suspect we won't.

Have you ever met anyone from online? I've met several others but this will be the first time I've met someone in my own home.

I did! I did! She's a really good friend of mine, and it was awesome meeting her. It was like we've known each other forever... Oh wait a minute, you already know all this - because it was YOU! hehe

I've met a guy from flickr, who turned out to be super annoying and immature so I don't hang out with him anymore. He lives in town...

I also met a girl from blogging/twitter who also geocaches. Very talkative but great for a car ride.

...and a couple weeks ago I met a girl from Canada. We got along great! She geocaches too ;-)

Good luck meeting your friend. I'm sure you'll have fun! Dinner sounds Yummmmy!

I met my husband online 8 years ago, before match.com existed. It was through personal ad on excite.com

I met a girl from an online twins club that I was a member of ten years ago. She lived in Las Vegas, and we went on vacation there and met up with her.

And I met three other bloggers who live in my area after we started reading eachother's Hurricane Ike posts in 2008. Guess we met in early 2009. So, yes. I have met people online. It's fun! Maybe I can meet you in person someday!

I've met people through the blog I do in my own name -- but as Curmudgeon I've never met anyone -- and, of course, I probably wouldn't admit it if I did....

Enjoy your visit.
