Not Deciding Yet

I've been tossing around the idea of quitting Avon. I've come to realize being a housebound Avon lady isn't a very successful venture.I thought with Avon being online now I would have an easier go of things.. what with having my own store there and all. Maybe it's because I haven't advertised it in a while. Could be.

I'm not going to advertise it in this post either because it could be a conflict of interests with things like telling you to click here to rid forehead wrinkles. You don't really have to click there, I was just mentioning the conflict of interest thing. Of course if you want to click there, then go ahead. See how easy I am?

Anyway.. I'm not going to make any rash decisions about staying with Avon or not right now. I have several reasons to want to stay. A few Christmas gifts to help me with my Avon business are weighing into my decision..

I became an Avon lady in November but by the end of December I quit. The reason was that I had some returns, jewelry and embroidered items that two customers did not want and neither did I. I found it was costing me money, and unless I really went out and promoted myself in a major way which I had told them all along was not my plan, I just wanted keep it in my immediate neighbourhood. I had been told people almost never return items but it happened to me twice in that short time and since Avon wants it returned by special post it cost almost as much as the items were worth.

Are you making more than you're spending? Is your discount worth staying? That's one way to look at it. Now that people can buy online, being housebound might not be a negative thing for the business.

I sold Avon for 5 years and never made a penny. I had an on line store...never sold one item. It is a hard business...plus they have retail stores now...that is when I gave it up.
I did spend more then I made lol...
