Remember this scene from the movie Young Frankenstein when actor Gene Wilder proclaimed of his creation that, "It's alive"? That's kind of how I feel this morning after battling a very painful bout with an inflamed pancreas the last four or so days.
Yesterday I could tell I was turning the corner and was on my way to wellness. I think I even smiled a few times! Last night I ate my first real meal in days.. steak cooked on the grill. YUM!
Unfortunately I wasn't quite well enough to make the drive across the state for my oldest grandchild's birthday party yesterday which was held at Chuck E. Cheese. I did call him though and promised him that me and Grandpa would be over next week sometime. (Hubby works all of this week then has next week off.)
I'm not saying I'm completely recovered. I can still feel some pain as I sit here this very early Monday morning. I'm not ready to run out and play Cobra golf or anything. But I think I'll be able to get some laundry and maybe some housework caught up today.

I'm so glad you're finally feeling a little better. I'm sure you'll be back 100% before you know it!
A 3 hour drive just wouldn't be good for you at the moment. I'm sure he won't hold it against us. Besides, he'll be getting some neat stuff :)

Glad to hear you're on the mend Barb. x
Yay! Feelin' even a little better is better than not feelin' better @ all! Wish me luck on not having to go in for a nasty procedure next month... ;)
Glad you are feeling better.
This seems encouraging. Hope the upward trend continues.
Happy Bday to your grandson!
I'm glad you are doing better. Here is the Young Frankenstein quote that I've always remembered:
[Frankenstein, Igor and Inga in front of HUGE castle doors]
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: What knockers.
Inga: Oh, thank you doctor.
Hope you smiled :)
So good to hear you say you are feeling better. Keep it all going in that direction, Barb.
