I had one -I think it was "Computers for Dummies" and considering how much I now know about computers -next to nothing, still -you can then see how effective that item was can't you? I don't deal well with reading instruction type books -need someone to also explain it to me as I read. So much for being self-taught, huh?
Funny you should ask. We just bought Getting Published for Dummies at the used book sale. Also we just checked out, from the library, Beekeeping For Dummies. Who knew they had a dummies book for beekeeping? (It was for my dad)
We don't have any of them, but my sister bought Tarot for Dummies for all of us to mess with up to camp. I can red cards, but it's been years since I did it and the book helped bring it back to me.

My friend was trying to teach me to knit, but I couldn't help but hold my needles SO tightly, that the next day I couldn't work, because my hands were DEFORMED and stuck that way!! SOOOO.... another friend ( real comedian) mailed me... KNITTING FOR DUMMIES!! haha
But the best title that I ever saw was when I was in the Evil Big Box Store(tm) checkout line and I saw a book titled "Gambling for Dummies." Just about sums it up.
One day on a drive thru the country, Carrie and I started talking about leaving the city and living on a farm ( like in "Field of Dreams", minus the ghosts). But we know nothing about farming. We made a bet whether there's a Farming for Dummies book. She won - there is.
