The Song Remembers When

I can count on one hand (if the hand has 6 or 7 fingers) how many times in my life I have been out drinking in a bar. There are a couple reasons for this. One being that I'm not that much of a drinker. Another being of course that I don't feel all that comfortable being out.

All three of my kids have been blessed with wonderful singing voices. They got that pure and honest from their dad, because I can't carry a tune to save my life. I pity the people nearby when I DO sing because although I know I can't do it well, I still like to.

Anyway...

Some years ago though, when me and hubby were still dating, we were invited to tag along with my youngest son, his wife and my daughter to a karaoke bar. It's that night that prompts this post.

My son got up and sang the following song. Although he was very nervous, he did such a good job with it. I'm sure any Top 40 singer's mother couldn't have been prouder than I was at that moment.

Whenever I hear this song, it always makes me remember that night. And puts a smile on my face.

There's nothing there! Is it my lame computer, or blogger?

It's Garth Brooks singing Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up. :)

I love karaoke!! I just have to be really drunk to do it. :)

I love Garth! I think that song would be hard to sing, even if you can sing.

I can't sing either, and I haven't been to too many bars in my life. All the cigarette smoke makes it practically impossible for me. I have to decide ahead of time that I don't mind having burning eyes, a sore throat, and a head ache. Yep, not usually worth it.
