That Reminds Me

In my Heads Or Tails post yesterday, I wrote about a time I was stranded overnight with my (now ex) husband and my young son and how we were attacked by mosquitoes all night. That post reminded me of something else I posted a long time ago, and thought I would post again.

Simply for your amusement.

When I was growing up in Florida there were trucks that would drive through neighborhoods. These trucks would spray a thick fog of some kind of pesticide behind them with the goal of decreasing the amount of mosquitoes.

For some reason I can't now comprehend, when I was ten/eleven-ish years old, I thought it was fun to run along happily behind these trucks. In the fog of pesticide.

This may explain a lot of things. Maybe. (Smile.)

Oh my gosh!

Don't worry, my Great Uncle used all sorts of chemicals on his farm that are now illegal because of the dangers... and he'll be 96 years old in June!

I have always had a fondness for diesel bus fumes. So you just never know.

Oh you make me laugh! Don't you miss those carefree times when a kid could play with pesticide and not get sick? ;-0
