Back Home

We left last Saturday around 5pm and got home this morning around 2am. Although we normally have a wonderful time on our vacations, this time things were marred by me being mentally unbalanced much of the time. (I forgot to get refills on my psyche meds before leaving.)

We went almost as far south as New Orleans then back up to Tennessee where we spent a day at the Shiloh Civil War Battlefield. From there we went to Oklahoma and took a scenic by-pass through some mountains. Next we dipped down into Texas, just so hubby could say he'd been there, then drove up to Missouri.

A year ago we almost met Misty and I really didn't want to miss the chance to do so again, so we got a motel room near where she lives and called. She came to our motel room that evening after leaving work.

It was SO good to meet face to face. So good I can't even describe it. But.. the face to face part of it was just a formality in a way, because I already feel like I know her since we've been friends for almost two years online already. Still, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

(I'm the fat one.)
That was our last stop before driving home. Now I have a ton of laundry and unpacking to do. I need to see about getting refills on my meds. That is a HIGH priority.

I'll fill in more details about where we went along with pictures first chance I get.

-------

We didn't make it to Los Angeles and we weren't on a motorcycle so we didn't have a need to see any motorcycle accident lawyers Los Angeles.

I see Banana!!! Hiiiiii Banana! We did have a super fun visit, didn't we?!?!

So, did you ever realize that the clock in the motel room had never been changed for the time change? I realized that when I got in my vehicle and looked at the clock... I was like "ooops... I guess I kept them up even later than I initially thought!"

P.S. Did I ever shup the entire time I was there? Because, now that I replay it in my head - I don't think I ever shut.up.

Oh, I'm so jealous! It looks like you 2 hit it off really well.
I think it's fantastic that you & Mike have fun on your road trips, even if this one didn't go as well as you wanted. Personally, I despise road trips. I've told Poor Hubby that a real vacation for me must involve air travel & hotel accomodations.
Oh, and thanks for reminding me to refill my meds. ;)

Oh that sounds like fun! I don't do well on road trips though. Hell I don't do well on any trips anymore. So I hope you had enough fun for me too!! hehe

So good to see you back home. I missed you. Awwwwwwww

Boy, when you go on a "road trip" you really don't mess around do you? I love how you can sandwich all those places into such a short period of time. Wish I could do that too.

Oh, by the looks of it you both had a lot of fun. And reading Misty's comment you did have lots to talk about! Or at least she did, hehe.
