She only does what she wants to do. We cannot get her to loose leash walk. Everything we've read, including info we got from her first obedience class last week, said to become a "tree" when a dog pulls. Then the dog will look at you as if to say, "Please don't stop. I want to walk."
Well, she doesn't care if we walk or not. She's focused on sniffing the ground, eating pine cones, watching people waiting to see if they get close enough for her to jump on. It's SO frustrating and at 40 pounds (or more) her pulling on the leash can almost drag us along behind her.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know if they sell doggy Xanax?
I haven't feature my guinea pig, Gina, in a while. Gina is a unique guinea pig to say the least. She travels, leads protest marches, etc. Here she is in her Super Guinea pig outfit..

Good luck with Hannah. Young dogs have minds of their own!
She's so adorable!!!
Hannah is a cutie and good luck with that training! Having been through that with many dogs I can only say you have to find what works with each dog. Gina certainly knows how to dress!!!
Mine is up at my pet blog.
Made me remember my doggy. I_ miss him!
She is such a cute dog....I know when Bert wants to go for his walk...it's always us tugging to pull him back. Part of why the dogs stop and do what they do is to pick up scents...especially if it is somewhere they have been before....Bert loves to mark his territory.....as for you guinea pig...that's an awesome power outfit....
Happy weekend to you....
hello... hapi blogging... have a nice day! just visiting here....
Awww... Hannah is such a cutie.
I didn't play CC b/c we're still in the middle of our move, but I wrote you an email about how we trained Jersey. I hope it will help a little bit :-)
Have a great weekend.
She is definitely a cutie..
Don't know if this is PC these days ... but we used a good, old-fashioned choke collar on our puller and sniffer.
It worked. She figured out very quickly, that if she pulled she started coughing. If she didn't pull, things were comfortable.
The vet and the SPCA recommended it..
oh boy! I can't give advice! I have a schnoodle that WON'T stop F&*(ing BArking when I walk him.I try stopping too! I try squeezing his mouth closed I tried crying!
It is making me nuts! OH i even tried a damn muzzle.. He STILL makes noise! I wish that adorable Ceaser milan would come walk with me! xo
