Do Something

I've posted a couple times lately about my weight issues. Here's another one.

What I neglected to say about leaving Fashion Bug was that after we left there we went to Meijer (like Walmart) and spent about $60. Then we went to Kohl's and spent about $50. Then I came home and ordered $120 worth of clothes from a catalog called Woman Within. Today I went to Walmart and bought a few more things. $40 there.

Fashion Bug would have gotten that money. Most of it anyway.

I needed new Spring and Summer clothing desperately. Last Fall when I switched over to my Winter clothes and put the warm weather stuff away, I donated some decent things to Goodwill. Stained or worn out stuff got tossed.

So.. my recent shopping netted me a new purse, wallet, two tanks tops with bra thingies inside, a long gauzy dress, a pair of shoes, a robe I wanted for Christmas (*wink at my kids*), 4 other tops and two nightgowns. Oh and I get a free watch for ordering from Woman Within.

Of course it didn't escape my attention that if I didn't weight so darn much I wouldn't even have had an issue with Fashion Bug. I did do something though. I emailed them about my dissatisfaction and why. I'll see what happens from that. I may have to write a real letter.

No word yet on me signing up with Weight Watchers. When I told hubby about it he just kind of looked at me and said nothing much. (That's my way of not telling you what he said.)

I'm not big on diet pills. If they had one that didn't have the fine print saying I would also need to follow a healthy diet and exercise I might go for it. I bet, and I'm just guessing here, that if I ate right and exercised I would lose weight without the pills. DUH! I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but even I can figure that one out.

I need to do something. I'm not sure what that something will be. Yet.

Hey - can I have that watch? I need to make sure the time is always what time it says on my clocks... especially at the beginning of April ;-)

Yay for getting new clothes. I need to do something too... I've got clothes, I just don't know how to put it all together and look nice and professional.

Just last night I was chattering @ Poor Hubby about how I need some shorts & capris. I mentioned that I wouldn't need them if I could just lose weight to get into the ones I've already got. (I'm a pack rat & have convinced myself that I'll fit back into my cute clothes someday.) He raised his eyebrows & said nothing. Every time I mention doing something to lose weight (join a gym, go swimming @ the rec center, walk the dogs on a regular basis, etc.) he'll either give me a "yeah, right" look or say..."Yeah, right." Trust me, I know what it's like.
