Happy Blogversary!

Happy One Year
Blogversary To Me!

My blog is one year old today. WooHoo!!! I've made 604 posts in that time. That's about 11 1/2 posts per week. On average. For a while I was just doing mostly sponsored posts. (Ads.)

This is not my first blog. I've actually had two others. I've been blogging since August 2006. Right here as Skittles' Place. The other two were deleted. One I was able to get back amazingly enough. The second one I didn't even try. I missed blogging so much though that after a few days I made this one and got my domain name.

Some folks I've known almost since the beginning.. Curmudgeon, Down River Drivel, Erika Jean, It's About Time, Misty's Musings, Random Autumness and Smalltown RN.

Maureen from It's About Time was the first person to ever come back on a regular basis. Maureen was also the first person I talked to on the phone. (We spoke just yesterday again.)

-------
In honor of the folks currently on my link list I present a little story..

I was bored and unsure what to do. In fact I was on the Brink of becoming a Curmudgeon. I was tired of Doing The Math... figuring out my options. It all felt like just Drivel to me. Even Erika Jean could see that!

(I thought I might have enough Time to play with some Legos but I wasn't sure.)

As I sat there thinking and picking the Petals from a daisy, I had many thoughts, Musings if you will. Some I wasn't able to put into Words.

There was One that stood out and it wasn't as Random as you may think. I may be a Smalltown girl but that doesn't mean I have to have small town Thoughts!

I decided to make a journal, a Chronicle based on the Tales of my day to day life. I made a blog and knew that would take me off in a Whole New direction.

And I saw it was good.

And yes indeed, it is good! Now that was a very cute, really unusual post for your blogoversary but quite enjoyable. Yeah, we've both been around the old blog-block a good while now, haven't we? Some days, I think, why am I still doing this and then the next day, I get a little spurt of energy, interest in posting about something and boom, I'm off and running yet again and I think you operate very much in the same manner too. I'm really glad that you decided not to let the blog go by the wayside though and that you're still here, a great friend to listen to and also, to lean on.
Peace.

If I had known I could have ordered flowers. I hope I will see my 1 yr anniversary... And you to be there to share. I just might have to stalk you on that day. LOL

You had me confused there for a minute when I read it was your 1st Blogversary. I thought "no that can't be, skittles has been blogging longer than me and mine is 2 years old!" Then I remembered you started a new blog!

HAPPY BLOGVERSARY and long may you continue. :)

So now I'm back as you all know me (in addition to the Slick posts from this morning). Oops... Yes, I was donating platelets... you know... blood. They hook you up to a machine... (stop reading if you get squimsh)... and pull the blood out of you... separate the platlets from the rest and then push the 'rest' (meaning not the platlets) back into you. So this is a slow process... usually about 2 hours. SO you sit there, one arm immobile, and tweet or blog or comment or read or answer emails or whatever. Perhaps some day I'll blog about my adventures at the blood bank.

So, again... happy blogaversary...
