The quickie question was going to be "Who do you ask when you can't remember the name of a song?" You can still answer it anyway.
See.. I have a lot of people to ask. Hubby will always know the name and group and year of any oldie type metal/rock song. My daughter knows almost any song question I ask giving her the slimmest of leads. Sometimes something as vague as two words and if I think it was a girl singer. My sons are good at it too but usually need a bit more to go on.
A new shining star is a DIL. I've turned to her more than once recently. Yesterday I called her after my daughter drew a blank. I've had a little snippet of a song in my head for almost a week and it was driving me crazy trying to match it with a song title.
The snippet was "Here I go, here I go, here I go." Yeah I know. See what I ask of my kids all the time? Singing the line or words for them does not help them. Trust me on that. This time though I was able to at least give the words the right beat or inflection.
She started singing the part I'd provided and worked her way to the title for me. Amazing, I tell ya. Not only was she able to do that but then reminded me of this video.. (Sorry. All the videos of this song have crappy quality.)
Maybe my kids get some knowledge from playing Guitar Hero type games. They all have video game systems and have most of the Wii accessories too. I remember back when they played with Legos. Oh wait. They still play with Legos.

MWM usually knows the answer or I google it.
Googling usually does the trick for me, I really don't have anyone that I could turn to for that sort of problem. lol Usually it's the other way around.
Hubs is pretty good at music trivia... if he doesn't get it, I google.
