This is a picture of my guinea pig Gina wearing a purple party hat on a policeman's body. The policeman is holding a phallic shaped donut hole while preparing to kick a goldfish and a helicopter piloted by a monkey flies around his head.
I bet none of you has anything like this.

All kidding aside I want to talk about these pronged collars. People who haven't used one think they are mean or cruel. I want to tell you the truth.
If anyone remembers my past Camera Critters posts, you know how much trouble I've had calming down my 5 month old puppy, Hannah.
At one point last week, I was so upset over her seemingly inability to learn to stop jumping and pulling, I was reconsidering our decision to get her. And keep her. She had actually bruised my arm pretty badly with her "rambunctiousness."
As a last resort I went to a local pet store and bought one of these. These may look mean, but the prongs are not all spiky and painful. In fact I put in on my own arm to test it. It was fine.
Immediately she walked nicely. Immediately she stopped jumping and pulling. Immediately she would let strangers walk up and pet her. Even giggling neighbor kids.
I don't have a picture of her wearing this, but I felt the need to tell everyone.

Pssst - you forgot the monkey's jumper cables... just sayin.
I am SO SO SO glad you discovered the collar and it helped the banana!
No, I have nothing like it! And I have never seen one of those collars before, but I'm glad it's working for you. I'd hate to see you give up Hannah.
Very funny :))

Have a nice weekend !!
Ha! Very clever.
Glad you found something that worked.
My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.
Your right....I don't have anything like it....but it does kind of resemble my hubby....LOL!
LOL ... a most unique camera critters post! I used one of those collars to train a 90 lb Keeshond Terrier years ago. Amazing what a difference it made in the way he learned to follow directions.
Hugs and blessings,
We had one for our black lab. It does well with training big dogs.
I'm glad you found a workable solution to her rambuctious puppy behavior. That's good news.
That looks like an interesting idea, at first I thought it would be painful. I will be searching for one of these at the pet store.
You should test the collar on your neck not your arm. She wears it on her neck and an arm is not the same as a neck.
Glad you tested it out and that it's working well for ya.
Hi Barb, I'm trying to catch up on everybody's blog. I will never manage to catch up on yours, you will have posted 10 more items when I'm halfway reading the last 5 I think ;-) Anyways, have you tried clickertraining? It worked a treat with my very bouncy and naughty labradorpup (now 6 years young). Really, very soon they have figured out that every click is followed by a treat (use the clicker wisely)..., well you know labradors. They are a stomach on legs. You can say she doesn't feel the collar, but why would she behave suddenly? It must do something to her she really wants to avoid. So...
