Hunt And Peck

This goofy dog is our precious Hannah. I can't help but laugh every time I look at this picture of her. It's her doh-dee-doh look. She has it a lot.

But that's not what I'm here to talk about.

I was writing my last post and thinking how I would need a diet supplement if I wasn't eating healthy food. That was a lie. With my weight what it is I should be, but I was really wondering how people type with long fingernails. I cannot.

I'm a hunt and peck kind of typer and my WPM is probably about 15. Maybe more because I'm a self-taught hunt and peck typist and I've been online for a LOT of years. But still. The fingernails need to be trimmed short.

How about you?

You really don't need me to answer, cuz you already know that I have long nails and I type about 85 wpm. But, I'm gonna leave a comment anyway :-P

I type pretty fast. Not 85 wpm but a good 70wpm. I have long nails and it isn't a problem. You get use to it in a few days. The problem comes when I try to type emails on my iphone.

I have no idea how fast I type, but I have short nails. However, over the summer I went through a period of getting my nails done every few weeks and I was able to type fine. Text messaging however...that was tough.

My nails are short but when I worked for a vet practice they were long and it took a few days to get used to typing quickly with them and then it just wasn't an issue. I would guess that the smaller the keys/buttons the harder it would be.

Short nails here. I never thought I typed fast (been a while since I timed it) but last night in class we had to type some stuff for a web page that we were creating (everyone had the same words to type). My keyboard was the only one that you could hear the typing... (was that because I type hard or fast or both?)... and I got done in record time... and got to cut out early... woo hoo.
