Just In Time

My last post mentioned me being depressed about my slow progress with weight loss. I guess I was wishing I could twitch my nose Bewitched-like and lose it all at once. I used to wish that about a lot of things in my past but I won't go there today.

I went to get myself a fresh cup of coffee and was getting ready to call my mom for some encouragement when I saw I had an email from her that had just arrived. It was one of those forwarded inspirational things that get sent around all the time, but this one came at the right time for me.

The first sentence was: "To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did."

The impact of that in regards to what I'm going through was enormous and I broke into tears. I called her and thanked her.

I'm back on track.

I once was told that if you want to get across country, you have to take that first step...AND keep walking. One pound turns into two. YOU CAN do this!
And we're all here cheering for you.
