Living A Dream

Not much would get me up at 4:30 in the morning. Last night I couldn't sleep though. Right now.. as I type this.. my oldest son and DIL are 6 miles from where one of the last Space Shuttles will lift off around 6:30am. (I'm not sure what this mission is. Maybe they will test blackhead extractors? I'll ask my son later.)

My son has always been fascinated with the space program. One of his dreams before he dies (many, many, many years from now I pray) has been to see a launch. With this launch being the fourth to last Shuttle launch, he knew he had to go.

I am so excited for him and his wife. I'm so proud of him for living his dream.

I'm glad he was able to go, that would really be something to see in perfect.

That's awesome! It's inspiring that he made his dream come true.

Never got to see one in person. I've had trouble even watching them live since the Challenger explosion in 1986. We can do SO much better than this in our country.

But I won't rant in your comments.

I'll just say: Good for your son.
