Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everybody. Did you stay up to watch the ball drop? Me and Mr. Skittles did and I still get goosebumps watching it every year. 2010. Holy cow.

I've been getting all mushy feeling today thinking of all I have to be grateful for. Especially when I think of all you wonderful people I've met online. I don't think I tell you often enough how much I really, really care about each and every one of you.

You might be able to tell from the tone of this post that I'm starting to feel a bit better. The new med combo seems to be doing the trick. *Throws confetti in the air* (Hey it's better than throwing refrigerator water filters, right?)

The quitting smoking resolution I made for myself isn't going as well as I hoped, but I'm smoking less than I normally would and I have the Commit lozenges for in between.

Did you make any resolutions?

I've met so many wonderful people online too, including you. For new years resolutions I want to lose 10 more pounds and then I'll be down to my ideal weight, but with all the yummy food I ate this Christmas I don't think I lost any this month.

I quit making specific resolutions a long time ago because it always depressed me when before midnight on New Year's Day they'd generally have all already gone down to defeat or up in flames -whichever way you care to view things.
I do now however make a very general resolution to try to do better with things I tackle -and leave it open as to what it is I opt to tackle each year then. Less of a downside for me that way and who the hell needs self-induced depression when there's plenty of it to go around that has no rhyme or reason for being present in the first place!
Like you, I too am really grateful to have made the acquaintance via blogging with so many people -and from all over the world too! Especially neat when one finally gets a chance to meet another blogger in the flesh too and having the significant other there too, is just some more icing on the cake. (We won't talk about the nicotine addiction thing -at least not tonight anyway!
Peace,Happy New Year and WAY TO GO, NITTANY LIONS!

Happy 2010 to you my dear. I'm glad to see your tone in today's post. A new year, a new chance of possibilities... right?

Commit lozenges, dum-dum lollipops and pistaschos... perhaps?

:)

I too have met some amazing people through the Internet.

I was up until 1:00am last night but we were watching movies: "Step Brothers" and "Paul Blart Mall Cop"

Glad you are feeling a bit better Barb. Happy New Year to you and Mike and the family!

Happy New Year to you! I resolved to take more 'me' time and do some of the things I used to enjoy before the computers and internet took over my life.

I also resolved to stop just talking about trying to reach some of my goals/dreams and start taking actions towards them.
